Tom Wroe Unit

The Tom Wroe Unit (newly built wing) is a small six person, purposefully designed facility that meets the needs of people with high dependency and complex behavioural needs.

Our residents have assessed needs and support requirements necessitating a high level of support and input from our specialist therapy and support team. At Tom Wroe we are an up skilled competent and compassionate team who have not simply high levels of personal care skills but specialist knowledge around complex behavioural challenges and de-escalation techniques, behavioural therapy, together with an underpinning positive behavioural support framework.

We celebrate individuality to gain the best possible outcomes for the wonderful people we are fortunate enough to support.

  • Geoff has only been on the unit since December 2017 but the change in him is amazing. The unit is so homely and welcoming. He seemed to settle down there very quickly and has adapted to the environment well. The whole staff are so kind and considerate, not only to him, but also to us all as his family. Our only regret is that it took us so long to be aware of Helme Hall's existence and to get Geoff transferred into their care! We were anxious for a better quality of day to day life for him and we've certainly found the key!

  • "I just wanted to say an huge thank you for everything you have done for my aunt. The care and love she received with you was above and beyond. You are all outstanding professionals, but also you realise the fundamentals of living a good life, in whatever stage, which is friendship, company and love. What I witnessed I will never forget. Any person in your care should consider themselves lucky and privileged"
